Reading Program
Our current reading curriculum for Kindergarten through fifth grade is Open Court. Our goal is to meet the students where they are and move them to where they need to be. We do most of our work through differentiated small group instruction and collaborative investigation stations. Our teachers provide additional support for advanced and struggling learners through Response to Instruction (RTI). These students are identified through one-on-one DIBELS (MCLASS) assessments and iReady online diagnostic testing. Our Tier 3 students received specialized instruction using the SPIRE (Specialized Program Individualizing Reading Excellence) Program or Take-Flight.
